COURSE IN HAUTE COUTURE TAILORING TECHNIQUES INITIATION LEVEL
Intensive initiation course on haute couture tailoring techniques inspired by the work methods of the Balenciaga House and aimed at a specialist audience. The course will be mainly hands-on and the participants will work on producing a short wool cape – an iconic garment of Cristóbal Balenciaga – and including making a Balenciaga collar by hand.
The course combines technical demonstrations, individual support and making the garment by hand; students will thus learn about the traditional processes of haute couture tailoring and the constructive rigour characteristic of the House of Balenciaga.
