The Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum develops an ambitious programme of exhibits and events aimed at raising the profile of Cristóbal Balenciaga, highlighting his important role in the history of fashion and design, and his legacy on today's world of fashion. The exhibitions will be accompanied by other events such as classes, lectures and educational workshops geared to different audiences and aimed at enhancing the museum visit.
SCREEN PRINTING WORKSHOP
The aim of this workshop is to provide families with a hands-on introduction to screen printing, an artisan technique used to print designs onto fabric using a mesh screen and ink. During the workshop, families will create and print their own unique designs using natural dyes from plants and insects. Ready to let your imagination run wild?

This course proposes an approximation to the specific methods used in the fantasy ateliers at the Balenciaga House. The sessions will include demonstrations of the Maison sewing and ironing techniques; furthermore, aiming to convey these practical skills to the students, they will complete several exercises placing special emphasis on working with taffeta and lace fabric.
