The Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum develops an ambitious programme of exhibits and events aimed at raising the profile of Cristóbal Balenciaga, highlighting his important role in the history of fashion and design, and his legacy on today's world of fashion. The exhibitions will be accompanied by other events such as classes, lectures and educational workshops geared to different audiences and aimed at enhancing the museum visit.

Alaïa and Balenciaga. Sculptors of shape

The exhibition “Alaïa and Balenciaga. Sculptors of shape”, which houses the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum, coinciding with its tenth anniversary, presents 100 works by both creators -Azzedine Alaïa (1935-2017) and Cristóbal Balenciaga (1895-1972)- belonging to the collections of the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation in Paris.

Workshops for families

Block printing

The activity will introduce the participating families to the block printing technique, an ancient process of printing patterns by means of engraved wooden blocks or stamps. They will then proceed to create a design on a piece of wood and use it to produce a repetitive print.
