The focus of this design, titled Paradox itself: fixation in vain, lies on the illogical and contradictory nature of retroactive jealousy, and how it consumes the mind. Drawing inspiration from the concepts of possession and symbiotic fixation, the designer skillfully weaves silhouettes inspired by the shapes of calla lilies and crane flowers. Through the fusion of these influences, a hybrid emerges, giving rise to innovative structures within a distinctive two-piece ensemble, made up of a jacket and skirt.
With a focus on draping and pleating tulle, the designer sculpts a flow that carves and contours the body. The rhythmic in-and-out is translated into a structural jacket, generating volume at the sides and back through delicately crafted pleats and curving into itself at the front, forming a distinctive opening. Complementing this uniquely structured jacket is a classically shaped straight ankle-length skirt. The unexpected navy tulle train adds an element of surprise, mirroring the blossoming of the flowers that served as inspiration.
