Inspired by the interplay of composition and deconstruction in motion, this abstract dress and jacket ensemble takes cues from Giacometti’s sculptures and the forms of sex toys to create a bold, unconventional silhouette. Exposing the stomach and adding volume to unexpected areas, the design challenges traditional notions of beauty, female pleasure, and the balance between organic and sculptural forms, reimagining the female body as both a canvas and a site for artistic exploration.

To achieve the desired design, the student minimised the use of seams, limiting each garment to just two or four. The fabric was woven and draped to maintain enough rigidity to form sculptural volumes. Weights were discreetly placed inside the lining to pull the fabric, enhancing its structure. Handmade ceramic pieces, finished with gold leaf and enamel, dangle from the fingertips of gloves via fishing line, creating a striking contrast against the all-black ensemble.
