Diego Arones
Inspired by his father who was a professional tailor in Peru, this student makes the construction of the garment a central part of its design. The garment is carefully thought out to create a seamless creation, with continuous linear lines that trace the body head to the toe. This inherent fluidity extends seamlessly to the finer details, including meticulously tailored buttonholes and pockets, all contributing to enhancing the fabric's continuous flow.

The creation of this design involves a fusion of techniques inspired by Balenciaga, notably drawing from the iconic grid-lined cocoon coat. With a vision to craft a carefully constructed garment, the student skillfully sculpts a shoulder cape, introducing a V-shaped kimono silhouette reminiscent of Balenciaga's early design era. To heighten the drama and flare, the sleeves gracefully extend to the floor. Nevertheless, the student maintains a balance by incorporating practical elements into the garment, including discreet invisible zips along the sleeves and clasps at the back.
