Haute Couture tailoring techniques

The programme content proposes an approximation to the specific methods used in the tailoring ateliers of the Balenciaga House and will, specifically, look at how to make certain elements of a check wool jacket.

The health crisis caused by COVID-19, and the safety measures taken by the competent authorities to prevent it from spreading, have directly affected the functioning of institutions such as ours and, specifically, the development of this kind of educational projects. The imposed social distancing and the difficulties of free movement established therefore mean that the masterclasses envisaged for this year 2020 are unable to proceed as normal.

Given this reality, and with the intention of continuing to offer its educational masterclasses in the current exceptional circumstances, as well as exploring new channels of transmission, the Museum presents this tutored online course on Haute Couture tailoring techniques.
