The exhibition “Alaïa and Balenciaga. Sculptors of shape”, which houses the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum, coinciding with its tenth anniversary, presents 100 works by both creators -Azzedine Alaïa (1935-2017) and Cristóbal Balenciaga (1895-1972)- belonging to the collections of the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation in Paris.

Having featured in the exhibition “Balenciaga and Spanish painting”, organised by the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum between June 18 and September 22, and prior to its rest for conservation purposes in the Museum warehouses, the exhibition “Fabiola of Belgium. A royal wedding” extends an invitation to explore the history and specific context of this iconic piece, the wedding dress worn by Fabiola de Mora y Aragón.

The Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum hosts the exhibition ‘Distinción. A century of fashion photography,’ produced by the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona (Barcelona Museum of Design), the show includes more than a hundred images by the most influential photographers on the national scene over the last 100 years. Included are notable works by Juan Gyenes, Oriol Maspons, Manel Esclusa, Maria Espeus, José Manuel Ferrater, Antoni Bernad, Manuel Outumuro, Bèla Adler & Salvador Fresneda, Txema Yeste, among others.
