Titled Alma en Pena, this collection challenges societal representations of women. Often depicted as fragile, powerless, and sensitive, women are reimagined here through garments that serve as both a means of armour and expression. Designed as a form of protection and strength, this piece equips women with the resilience needed to navigate today’s world, combining a protective bodice with delicate, sheer fabrics that embrace fragility.
Romantic, feminine tulle fabric is knotted to form a net-like structure around the body, embracing and protecting the female form and flowing into a floor-length freeform skirt. The soft coral hue of the outer layer contrasts with the darker grey beneath, creating a striking juxtaposition of fragility and strength, romanticism and darkness. The bodice below creates a heart-shaped neckline that is layered with tulle straps that cross over the chest and shoulders, creating a deep V in the back.
