The final design explores a deliberate play of juxtapositions and pattern combinations. The intentional blending of classical elements and fabrics contrast against the modern motifs and textures, creating an innovative contradiction. Intrigued by the idea of incorporating large, dramatic shapes into wearable garments, this piece fuses tailoring with modern art aesthetics and forms to create a statement dress.

The student developed a 3D floral textile which served as the foundation for the floral print design. Contrasting yet complimenting this fabric, are a combination of both classical and modern fabrics, including red velvet, gingham and pinstripe tailoring fabric. The dramatic angular shoulder piece is a pleated neck piece adding texture to the garment. The gingham bodysuit has two long panels attached of gathered fabric, which due to their placement create a long skirt that extends out to form a train. The back of the legs are left bare, leaving the bodysuit exposed.
