Inspired by sculptures of bodies in unusual postures, the student crafted a collection that explores the construction and deconstruction of the human form. The designs embrace unusual silhouettes to emphasise specific body parts, shaping folds in the skin and creating a three-dimensional surface using contemporary materials. This collection plays with the concept of ugliness, deliberately showcasing and exaggerating the undesirable and often hidden aspects of the body.

The final look is a simple O-silhouette dress, overlaid with bodyform construction. Aiming to create a modern interpretation of Weiberspeck—traditional shapewear used to achieve a desired silhouette—the student utilised nude leather and knitted fabric reinforced with soft shell material  to give the illusion that the garment is an extension of the body. Skin-toned tights are layered over the shapes, creating an abstract yet realistic impression that the clothing is an organic part of the human form.
