Combining contemporary tailoring with innovative flair, this coat and trouser set marries tradition with modern perspectives and mediums. The striking angular silhouette of the square-shaped coat, bending around the body, is paired with contrastingly curved trousers. Maintaining the theme of folds through the trouser pleats, the modern tailoring blends traditional techniques with new elements that reintroduce and reimagine traditional silhouettes.
The coat rests on the shoulders and features a back design that opens like two lapels, fastened with wool buttons at the bottom. The wool has been spray painted by hand to mimic the play of light. The trousers, patterned to be oversized with a distinctly curved outline, create the illusion of forward movement with an accentuated curve. Cut slightly on the bias for enhanced drape and movement, they feature a lowered crotch and three pleats on each side to compensate for the oversized waist.
